A qualitative assessment of lithium ion battery recycling processes

With the widespread adoption of e-mobility, there are high numbers lithium Ion batteries (LIB) entering waste stream. It is imperative that disposal and recycling strategies developed implemented. There an urgent need for safe, environmentally friendly economically affordable routes End Life (EoL) LIBs. This study has looked at 44 commercial recyclers assessed their reclamation processes. A novel qualitative assessment matrix termed “Strategic materials Weighting And Value Evaluation" (SWAVE) proposed used to compare strategic importance value various in EoL The sustainability quality recycled material by comparing final form or composition after processes, industrial processes industry type (primary sector, manufacturer recycler).
